Maine’s Flagship Top-Ranked Public University
The University of Maine, founded in 1865, is the state’s flagship institution located in Orono. The campus sits on the banks of the Stillwater River and is 20 minutes from Maine’s third largest city, Bangor (home to an international airport). The university prides itself on quality academics, superior faculty, innovative research, and traditions of academic and athletic excellence. Some of the country’s most spectacular destinations including Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and Mt. Katahdin are within easy reach.
Study Group’s global network of knowledge and recruitment expertise will help grow the international student population to enhance cross-cultural learning and understanding while enriching the UMaine experience on campus and throughout the local community. Working in partnership with the entire University of Maine System (UMS), Study Group will be opening a second International Study Center at University of Southern Maine (USM) for fall 2014, along with direct placement to all seven Maine campuses.
